Ossipee Lake is located in the Town Ossipee and the Town of Freedom. At 3,257 acres it is the sixth largest lake located entirely in the state. The lake is fed by the West Branch, the Bearcamp and Lovell Rivers, and the Pine River. Water leaves the eastern end of the lake via the Ossipee River, flowing to the Saco River in Maine. Public access is located in Ossipee off on Route 25 at the Pine River boat ramp.
The lake has three bays Berry Bay which is located in Freedom, Broad Bay which is located in Ossipee & Freedom and Leavitt Bay which is located in Ossipee.
Fishermen will find a variety of fish including pickerel, lake trout, small mouth bass, bream, blue gill, Atlantic salmon, rainbow trout, perch and largemouth bass. Your chance of getting a bite are good, no matter whether you fly fishing, bait casting or trolling
